We will be releasing our winter/Valentine’s special very soon :) In the meantime, check out the lovely ladies who took advantage of last year’s sessions!

Photos from our Valentine’s Day Malaya special.  What I loved is that most of these ladies didn’t have a significant other; they just did it for themselves.  Hot!

Haven’t posted new work here in a while.  This was from our December shoot of Carrie; we went for both ends of the spectrum and created a soft, angelic look contrasted w/ her bad ass martial arts side (she currently studies Muay Thai, Filipino Martial Arts and more - basically, don’t eff with her).

(sorry for all the reblogs and deletes; I can’t keep track of all my damn tumblr accounts haha)

rinaparrillagarcia and I played/sponsored a ladies-only acoustic night at 45 degrees and gave away some E.L.F. and Ulta kits to some lucky ladies in the audience!

We’re getting Malaya back into gear for 2012, so be on the lookout for events and specials galore!

P.S. NoVA and beyond gals - we travel for these shoots too :)

Went to the Girls Say show last night at 45 Degrees and got a free makeup kit ! Thank you, Rina. You know just how to keep your fans ;)

Malaya on Facebook

Created a separate FB page for our Malaya shenanigans because it started to be weird with alternating naked lady then newborn photos haha.  Be a fan, please :)

When I do makeup for Malaya by DCPG with my photographer sister, Cies, we overbook the studio time just in case. I think this day, we had almost 3 extra hours so this was one out of maybe 4 or 5 looks? Now that I have my “summer hue” it’s really weird to see me this pale haha.

An amazing local make-up artist | jewelry designer, Jennylyn, recently had us do a boudoir shoot as a gift for her boyfriend’s birthday.   I was excited because I’ve been wanting to get her in front of the camera forever!  As expected, she looked super gorgeous and her photos came out hotter than the sun.  The shoot involved hot pink lingerie, garters + stockings and balloons, so this ended up being the only shot I could post publicly :)

She says,

THANK YOU again for the awesome shoot. My bf LOVED them and he was so surprised.”

rinaparrillagarcia:

My new NYX Runway Palette. I love my UD Book of Shadows but most of them are riddled with glitter so I needed more matte shadows when I keeps it low key. So far, best $10 palette I’ve purchased :)

*Tokidoki 3 brush set in the background . . best $35 brush set I’ve purchased. And the only, most of my other brushes cost that much just for one.

We use what works, not just what’s the most expensive!

Just saw this article on Christine Gambito/Happyslip reposted on Facebook (click the photo for the article link).   She used all the promo photos DCPG shot for her.  Rina and I did both of her shoots 2 years ago and I still like the photos, but I am itching to update her portfolio again, especially now that we’ve definitely learned a LOT since those shoots.   If we can get our schedules together, it’s happening this year!!

A little makeup goes a long way, especially for photos, which is why Rina’s services are included with EVERY Malaya shoot!
